We the People: To Air Two Live Gubernatorial Debates PDF Print E-mail

MADISON -- We the People/Wisconsin will air two, live, statewide forums this fall. On Friday, September 15, the 14-year-old media coalition will host a one-hour televised forum in Waukesha with confirmed participation by Gov. Jim Doyle and U.S. Rep. Mark Green and will focus on taxes and the economy. A second confirmed pairing of the candidates will take place on Friday, Oct. 20 in La Crosse and will look at quality of life issues, such as health care and education.

The Sept. 15th debate will broadcast from 7 to 8 p.m. on WISC-TV (CBS, Madison), WTMJ-TV (NBC, Milwaukee), WGBA-TV (NBC, Green Bay), Wisconsin Public Television (Milwaukee and statewide) and Wisconsin Public Radio. The forum will be co-moderated by Frederica Freyberg of Wisconsin Public Television and Mike Jacobs of Today’s TMJ4 (NBC, Milwaukee).

Man falls into 70 gallons of chocolate PDF Print E-mail

Kenosha, WI - A 21 year old man fell into a tank of chocolate and was stuck waist deep in it for two hours on August 18 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Darmin Garcia, an employee of a company that supplies chocolate ingredients, said he was pushing the chocolate down into the container because it was stuck but it became loose and he fell in. However police chief Randy Berner said that he was told by Mr. Garcia that he climbed into the tank.

It was in my hair, in my ears, my mouth, everywhere," said Garcia, who has worked at the company for two years. “I felt like I weighed 900 pounds. I couldn't move.”
